Who we are

Haptic Electronics, Inc. runs this website and the Haptic store at 88 Market Street, Chicago, IL 60606. This policy explains what we collect when you shop with us, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

When you place an order, we collect your name, email address, phone number and, for home delivery, your delivery address, plus anything you write in the order notes.

When you message us through the chat or the contact form, we collect what you type, your email address and, if you share them, your name and order number.

When you sign in to track your orders, we keep a record of the one-time sign-in link and the session it opens.

We count visits with privacy-friendly analytics that do not use cookies and do not identify you.

How we use it

• To process, confirm, deliver and support your orders, including returns and warranty claims.
• To reply to your messages and give you product advice you asked for.
• To let you sign in and see your orders.
• To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate, so we can improve the site.

Emails

We email you about your orders and in reply to your messages. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask us to.

Our emails may include a small tracking image and tracked links that tell us whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. We use this only to understand whether our messages reach you. Sign-in links are never tracked.

Cookies and your cart

Your cart is saved in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. It never leaves your device until you check out.

This site sets one cookie, and only when you sign in to track your orders: a secure session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is removed when you sign out or after 30 days.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the delivery partner taking your order to you and with the providers that host this website, its database and our email delivery, under agreements that protect it.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for as long as tax and consumer law require, and messages for up to two years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where the law allows. Sign-in records are deleted when they expire.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, through the contact page or by calling the store. We reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
